I got a bunch of stuff that I most likely would not have bought if it wasn't super cheap, or free. I have a few more trips this weekend planned for cheap cheese, pop and chips. I know...super healthy, but it is stuff that is nice to have - especially when it wouldn't normally be in the budget really.

I went to Safeway and did two trips.

First: $2.54

I bought :

4 Hamburger Helper - $6.00 - used 2 $1 off 2 stickers, 4 .50 off Safeway coupons (from a book in the store...make it at home, or something like that) and $2.25 in e-coupons = -.25

Cheese Nips $1.99- used $1 off from SW coupon book, and $1 off from Newspaper = -.01

Lucky Charms - $2.00 - used $1 off printable and $1.10 off ecoupons = -.10

2 Pillsbury Pizza Dough - $6.98 used $1 SW coupons, $1 printable, and $3.40 in ecoupons = $1.58

2 Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll - $ 4.98 used $1 SW coupon, $1 printable, and $3 in e-coupons = -.02

2 Pillsbury Biscuits - $3.98 - used $1 SW coupon, $1 printable, and $.90 e-coupons = $1.08

And then I got back a $4 catalina for the 6 pillsbury products so I made about $1.50!

Then I did another transaction and Spent $4.24:

The Lucky Charms, Pillsbury, and Hamburger Helper were the exact same as before , so they cost $2.29.....

The Trix were $2, and I had a $1 coupon and a .55 e-coupon, so =.45

The Ronzoni was .75 a box, no coupons = 1.50

Taco seasoning 2 for $1, = $1

Ritz was $2.50, -$1 SW coupon, and $1 insert coupon = .50

Frosting was $1.79 - $1.50 e-coupons (I thought there was one more...oops) = .29

The creamer was .10...supposed to be free with a free coupon from facebook, but she put it in wrong = .10

and this is the best. Seriously, take note. The 5 lb chub of hamburger is $2.99 all week. I went crazy last week and bought 4 when they were $4.95 because I thought it was a great deal. Um, no. $2.99 is a great deal. 59 cents a pound! I broke mine into three or four sections so I have some frozen bags with different amounts of hamburger in them. And this is what we will be eating for a while. Hamburger. It is 80/20, but hello, you can drain the fat off and it is still light years cheaper than the leaner stuff. These are usually $12.95 a pound. So, crazy. I will be buying as much as I can fit in my freezer because you really can't beat it. Thank you, random lady at Safeway who pointed this gem out to me.

Anyways, I paid with my first $4 catalina and another $1.50 catalina I got last week and it was $4.24.

All told, I spent $6.78, but still have a $4 catalina, so all of this was cheaper than the crazy cheap hamburger!!

heatherlynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10492883225554418308noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4940390920370356265.post-74254208288702940402009-10-26T17:09:00.000-07:002009-10-26T17:12:38.619-07:00I bought more pop....I stopped by Albertsons on my way home...."bought" 9 more 2 Liters of Dr. Pepper (non diet this time for Randy.....)

it cost .45 in tax.

I still have my $2!!heatherlynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10492883225554418308noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4940390920370356265.post-38417828959381382082009-10-25T16:05:00.001-07:002009-10-25T16:12:07.987-07:00Super Soda DealSo, I left the house this morning to get some papers, and stop into Albertsons.

I left with $5 and came home with $2.....

I bought:

3 packages of Reser's hash browns ($2, minus $1 coupon and double...coupon not available anymore)

2 Tony's Pizzas ($1.79 minus $1/2 and double)

16 2 Liters of Sierra Mist and Dr. Pepper

All of this was at Albertsons...I also used a $2 coupon from doing a customer service survey (they print on the bottom of your reciept)

The pop deal is this (and I saw it at more than one Albertsons)

2 Liters are $1. Then, if you buy something that you have 2 coupons loaded for, they will both come off when you make your purchase!

Go do it!heatherlynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10492883225554418308noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4940390920370356265.post-37207336293403926722009-10-05T16:58:00.000-07:002009-10-05T17:01:41.134-07:00Where to use your $3 off Snuggle couponsSo yesterday I said that Target has the snuggle on sale for $3.99. So, if you buy 5, you will pay .75 a piece if you factor in the gift card. If you want more, you could use the gift card to buy more. I will probably do this since we are already going to Target today and I am out of juice!

Right Guard $1.99 there are $1/2 coupons for an August paper, or $1 off fast break atrightguard.com (right Jenn? now you can stock up!) The fast break might not be included though. I will check when I go today!

Quaker granola bars are $2
use $1/2 from redplum.com, and .50 off (Target coupon) from organicgrocerydeals.com
pay $1 a box

Snuggle Fabric softener or dryer sheets $3.99
There MIGHT be a $3 off coupon in todays paper...again I am checking. $.99 is a great price!

Axe Shower Gel is $3.29
use $1.50 off from smartsource.com and it is $1.79

Skippy peanut butter is priced around $2.00
use .75 off from todays paper and 1.00 off (Target coupon) from organicgrocerydeals.com
to pay around .25 a jar

Jenn, I feel like this week at Target was made for you!heatherlynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10492883225554418308noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4940390920370356265.post-61219970007313677692009-10-04T08:34:00.001-07:002009-10-05T16:33:29.339-07:00Shopping at Safeway really irked me.I went to Safeway yesterday morning, and I was just picking up a few things (mostly stuff Randy wanted for oatmeal). However, I saw a bunch of stuff marked down so I came home and gathered some coupons together, but the store was being difficult so I didn't really get everything. Lame. (P.S., apparently Safeway will not take a coupon over what the price is...even though they have before. And they will not lower the coupon so you can get the item. You are just SOL.)

So first I bought:

Raisins (for the oatmeal) $2.50
2 Gallons Milk $3.98 (they are $2.99 each, or $1.99 if you buy 2....)
5.5 lbs hamburger $8.00 (it is $1.49 a pound through today!!)
1 Kraft singles $1.49 (minus 2 $1.00 e-coupons, so -.49!)
6 More boxes Kleenex $2.97 (minus .50)
1 loaf bread .99
8 pack of Energizer batteries $4.99 (minus $1.00 e-coupon)

paid $20 (used my $3 catalina but got another)

Then, I bought 3 more Kleenex and a Covergirl face makeup on clearance for $1.79. I forgot to give the .50 off coupon, so I paid $1.76 and got another $3 catalina

Then, I bought 4 bottles of Lysol toilet cleaner. It is $1.50 a piece right now if you buy 4. Since it is usually almost $4 for one, I decided to stock up. I used 3 $.75 off coupons from the paper, and I got a canister of Clorox wipes which I had a free coupon for. That took off $3.69 instead of $3.00, so I used my $3 catalina and paid somewhere around .50

I spent a total of $23 (whole dollars)

So I have $108 left for the month!heatherlynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10492883225554418308noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4940390920370356265.post-4002820720292981652009-10-02T18:13:00.001-07:002009-10-05T16:32:13.566-07:00Safway-no picture. Whoops. So I stopped by Safeway yesterday, but didn't get a picture....I was too busy getting ready for the Mariner's game! (thanks Jenn :)

First I bought 7 more Joint Juice, which I used my $5 off coupon from last time, and the $3 catalina from the Kleenex so I paid $3.50

I got a new $10 catalina and used it to buy 2 steaks, a pack of chicken leg quarters, 3 more boxes of Kleenex, a case of water and my .25 cent artisan bread (from the facebook coupon). I paid a little over a dollar and got another $3 catalina.

So I paid $5.

My budget for this month is $160 for all food and toiletries.
So far I have spent $29, so I have $131 left!heatherlynnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10492883225554418308noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4940390920370356265.post-39240378818419705042009-09-30T22:12:00.000-07:002009-09-30T22:14:42.454-07:00Where to find couponsIf you want to find if there is a coupon for something, this is the best place to look:

http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/coupon.php

Just type in what you are looking for, and if there are coupons out there for it, they will probably come up.

Not every coupon is there, because people enter them so some might get missed. But, you can get some really good deals on toiletries, medicine, and some food if you do it right.

Here are the rules (they might not always work, and Walgreens employees are not always nice)

1. You can use a manufacturer coupon (like from the newspaper) and a store coupon together

2. If you use both, then you have to buy another item. You have to have as many items as you have coupons. Usually if you trying to pay the least in cash, you buy something super cheap. They always have things in their ad that are around .50 or less.

3. Register Rewards are Walgreens coupons that are like cash that you get for buying certain things. Example: if you buy a chapstick for $2.99, the machine gives you a $3 register reward you can use on almost anything. Sometimes it is the full price of the item (so you basically get it for free), and sometimes it is just part of the price...

4. If you get a Register Reward for something, you can use it to buy the same thing again, BUT you won't get another one. So, you should find something else that will give you a register reward instead so you can get another one. If you keep doing this, you can repeatedly get free items.

5. Your Register Reward won't cover tax. It also can't be reduced down. If you are trying to buy something for $2.99 with a $3 Register Reward, it won't work so you have to buy something to make your cost above $3.

So here is what I did today:

First, I bought 2 Thereaflu, and 1 Hall's throat losenge. The Theraflu was 2/$8, and I had 2 $2 coupons from the internet ( you can't print them any more) and I used a $2 coupon from the Walgreens book by the pharmacy (which should have taken off $4 but only took off $2) and I the Hall's was $1 and there was a $1 off coupon in todays paper. So I paid about $3.50 and got $5 dollars in Register Rewards (here after abbreviated to RR) ($1 for the Hall's and $4 for the Thereflu). Oh, and I bought a .50 can of chicken broth because I had too many coupons.

Then, I bought 1 Gillette Power razor ($8.99 minus $4 from today's paper), 1 Robutussin to Go ($2.49 minus $2 from the internet-not there any more) and 2 Reeces bars (again too many coupons - I used the 2 RR, which count as coupons).
